I love spring time! It’s my favorite time of the year. I love seeing all the flowers blooming and celebrating Easter with my family.? Since I have plenty of pallets I have been busy creating things for my home.? My latest design is the Hippity Hop Door Hanger!? I didn’t have anything to hang on my door for Easter and this was just too cute not to create.? All I used was one pallet board and cut it in half.? It was actually a piece of wood that I had already pre-painted for another project that I decided not to do.
Materials:
Pallet Board
2 Support Boards
Nails/Screws
Hanging Wire
Drill Bit to accommodate the wire
Acrylic paint
Paint Brushes
Acrylic finishing spray or some type of sealant
Step?1:
Once the pallet board?is cut’secure the wood together with two supporting braces.? Then began by painting your boards white.? I rubbed the paint off to have more of an antique effect.? Once it dries draw out your words.
Step 2:
Once I had my words drawn out I began painting in bright spring colors.? Then I drilled my holes for the wire.? Before I hung it on my door I sealed it with a protective spray.
Working with pallets has become pretty easy for me.? The worst part is dismantling them, but once you have all your wood separated you are free to create anything you want.? The best part is that your wood is free.
Happy Easter!!
