When I think of Thanksgiving I think of all the wonderful food we prepare to share with our family.? The one thing I look forward to every Thanksgiving is my mother’s chocolate pie.? What better way to remember the holidays than by creating your favorite food from Sculpey Clay.
Materials:
- Sculpey Clay
- Clay Tools
- Oven
- Cookie Pan
- Jewelry Tools
- Beads
- Eye Pins 2?
- Fish Hook Earrings
Step 1:
First kneed your Sculpey Clay until it is workable. Then roll your pie filling color into a 1/2″ ball, pie crust into a 1/4″ ball and whip cream into a 1/8″ ball.
Step 2:
Flatten your pie filling and pie crust clay, and cut the pie filling into? the shape of the pie.? Then place your pie filing on top of the pie crust and cut the crust.
Step 3:
Shape your pie crust around your pie filling, and add your fork markings to the crust.? Add your whip cream to the top. I added some glitter embossing powder to give it a shimmer effect, but you don’t have to.
Step 4:
I put an eye pin in the top of the pie before I baked it.? Bake at 275 degrees for 15 minutes and let it cool before you pick them up.
Step 5:
These next steps are not necessary just something extra to embellish your earrings.? I used beads just because I thought they were too plain as slices of pie.? I made my own rods out of leftover eye pins to add the beads.? Then last I added the fish hook earrings.? If you choose to you can seal them with an acrylic sealant or Modge Podge.? Now you have the perfect a Thanksgiving reminder of your favorite dessert.? Make sure to check out my Gobble Dangle Earrings?too.
These are so cute! I have never heard about making my own DIY Chocolate earrings, but I want to do this. I will have to check out the site. Yours really turned out great!
What fun earrings! I’ve made my own jewelry, but I’ve never worked with Sculpey Clay. I guess I imagined it would be difficult, but your how-to makes it seem very doable. Thanks for the inspiration!
Awww, these are super cute! And they could also be pumpkin pie earrings for the holidays! ha!
This is so cute, my daughter would love to make these. Might have to try it.
So cute and so easy! I am always looking for seasonal crafts to do with my nieces, I think we will try making these this weekend!
