We are really big fans of the Pete the Cat picture book series and the latest one is just as fun. In Pete the Cat and the Bedtime Blues after a day playing with friends Pete brings everyone over to his house for a sleepover but as he tries to shut his tired eyes something…or better yet multiple someones…are keeping him awake. The series has already sold more than 11 million copies, been translated into 15 different languages and spend over 200 weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list. If you haven’t read one of their books yet you really should!
Pete the Cat and his friends are having so much fun playing and surfing in the sun, they don’t want the day to end! Pete has an idea?how about a sleepover? Groovy! As the night gets later, it’s time for bed. This cool cat needs to catch some ZZZs, but Pete’s friends aren’t ready to go to sleep just yet. Then Pete has another idea. . . . Will it work?
This book also includes a groovy door hanger inside. What makes Pete the Cat so great is the colorful and fun illustrations alongside the cute story-line which include one groovy cat. Just perfect for ages 4-8 and would be a great series to try on a reluctant reader. When I visit my daughter’s school to help out I see plenty of Pete the Cat books in the libraries and the classrooms….because both teachers and kids just love them!
