I received a sample for review. All opinions are of my own.
Although I’m a new fan of Star Wars, I simply cannot wait for The Force Awakens to come out this December. My whole house loves Star Wars – my husband grew up watching it, my son had us re-do his room in Star Wars theme, and I, too, have to get my hands on all things Star Wars.?Even though it’s great?watching the epic battles in a galaxy far, far away, it’s even more fun to build the ships ourselves with the new?Star Wars: The Force Awakens SnapTite Build and Play Kits from Revell.
The SnapTite Build & Play model kits are incredibly realistic, including movable parts and battle action lights and sounds, yet are very easy to assemble. Right now, they are available in the new movie’s Millennium Falcon, Poe’s X-Wing Fighter, Resistance X-Wing Fighter, and First Order Special Forces Tie Figher and are available at Target and Toys R Us. Aimed at ages 6 and up, each kit has 15-20 pre-decorated parts with no need for glue, paint, or tools, and takes about 30 minutes to assemble.
The included directions are easy to follow, and even my 4 year-old was able to assist in assembling. He spent hours imagining his own space battles against the Empire and his favorite ship, as is mine, is the Millennium Falcon. The sounds were just perfect and we both really liked that it lights up as well. This has proven to be quite durable and I was very impressed by the level of detail on this. It really was like holding my own mini Millennium Falcon and the best part is I know it will hold up well to my son playing with it.
There will be five additional Star Wars SnapTite kits being released in October that are aimed at ages 8 and up, followed by the introduction of The Master Series which includes three classic Star Wars paint and glue kits meant for the serious Star Wars enthusiast. Regardless of which kit you select, the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens kits from Revell are the perfect gift for any Star Wars fan in your life.
