I am a big fan of maxi dresses….especially for outdoor sporting events. I think they offer the highest in comfort while still looking polished. I like the bold colors of this dress and it offers plenty of leg coverage while sitting in the stands. Accessories are a must when hitting up the races. A giant hat is a great add-on as it offers personal shade and is fashionable at the races. A great tip is to bring binoculars, especially if your seats are further back, so you we will be able to see everything going on. When selecting cute shoes make sure they are also comfy as you could be walking around all day.

The picture above is a more casual look for the ladies that is still classy and cute. You can sport comfy jeans while still looking fashionable with the right top and accessories. I especially enjoy carrying a nice purse when I am dressing more casual as it always makes me feel good and it can hold my sunglasses, phone and other things a lady always needs.

When it comes to getting dressed up for an event my husband is the first to step out of classic colors and tradition and dress boldly. He always sports a bow-tie at functions so this look is my favorite for a guy at the races. Race day is the perfect time to break out the cuff-links and pocket squares and dress your best. Dressing nice can also mean fun prints and pastels.
