Hunger strikes a cord with me. It’s something that no one should ever have to experience in their lifetime, but sadly it’s all around us. Even though there is ample food that so much goes to waste, kids are still going hungry right in our own communities. When it comes to child hunger, I’ll do whatever I can to help fight it and that’s just what Derek and Jennifer Woodgate did the moment they started cuddle+kind.
After watching a documentary on child hunger, Derek and Jennifer Woodgate decided that they wanted?to do something that would benefit children all around the world. When they decided to create?cuddle+kind, they knew they wanted to make sure that every child get the meals that they deserve.
For each cuddle+kind doll that is purchased, 10 meals will be donated to hungry children. In fact, each cuddle + kind doll comes with a bracelet that signifies the 10 meals given to hungry children through their giving partners, World Food Program USA and Children’s Hunger Fund.
cuddle+kind dolls are 20″ dolls, manufactured in Peru by local artisans who use sustainable, fair-trade practices. The dolls are knit, embroidered and crocheted using premium 100% cotton yarn. Hypoallergenic felt and polyester filling are used for the inside filling and final finishes.
