We have definitely hit the summer slump. When my son first got out of school, we were out almost everyday doing different activities. Now the weather has really heated up and we’re ready to just have some lazy days at home. Usually days at home means a lot of TV time, but with some great new games from Winning Moves Games, we’ve been busy playing and having fun instead.

I love the look of classic games. So many favorites have been remade like Monopoly and Candy Land and it’s next to impossible to find a board game with a classic look in the stores.?I was thrilled to see that Winning Moves has the Classic games that look just like I remember them. Playing Classic Candy Land?was a lot of fun – I really liked that it still includes the cards that you draw instead of the new version with the wheel to spin.
Crocodile Dentist came out when I was a kid. Sadly, I never got to play it, but always wanted to.?I couldn’t believe when I saw it on Winning Moves and had to get it immediately. Sure I knew my son would enjoy it, but now was my chance to finally play.
We have so much fun with this game. In this game, the crocodile has a painful tooth and your job is to play dentist and check his teeth – whoever pushes the painful tooth gets a surprise. I let out a squeal every time the crocodile bites down on my finger for pushing the wrong?tooth. We play this game over and over again and it’s now my son’s favorite game.
Guess Who? was another childhood favorite of mine – and my husband’s too. Even though my son is just shy of 4 and the game says ages 6+, he?got the hang of the game in no time. Both my husband and I really enjoyed seeing the characters that we remember when we played this game as kids.
Winning Moves has many of your favorite Classic games as well as other new fun games like Pass the Pig, Scattergories, and quite a few different varieties of Rubik’s Cubes. Playing board games are a great way to ease the summer boredom. I’m so glad I got to introduce my son to some of the classic style games that we can enjoy together.
