I have been in a dinosaur loving mood lately so I thought it was the perfect time to post a review on the fun and hip children’s book Rappy the Raptor from New York Times bestselling author, Dan Gutman and illustrated by Tim Bowers.
I’m Rappy the Raptor and I’d like to say, I may not talk in the usual way.
Meet Rappy the Raptor, a velociraptor who speaks in rhymes all of the time, whether it’s morning or noon, October or June. Now how did it happen that he started rappin’? Well, here’s Rappy’s story in all its glory!
This book even has a fun video preview to go along with it!
The illustrations are bright and fun as we follow the journey of Rappy being born and the discovery of his way of communicating.
This unique and fun picture book for ages 4-8 teaches about self-acceptance as Rappy and his parents learn to embrace his unusual way of speaking in this upbeat book. This would be an especially great book for boys or reluctant readers. The rhyming inside this book is super catchy so snap your fingers and tap your toes as you read along.
