Kids in the kitchen is nothing new. However, this was completely unbeknownst to me until my Lil Man started really enjoying his time in the kitchen a few years ago. But spending time in the kitchen is actually quite popular among kids – so popular in fact, that a television show was born based on just that.
Hey Kids, Let’s Cook! is an award winning PBS series and they’re back for another summer marathon on Create TV. Season 3 of the series will air on June 27 & 28 for a marathon, with one of the shows featuring Michelle Obama, a surprise guest and a visit to the White House!
Hey Kids, Let’s Cook was created just for kids and gets kids excited to not only watch the shows, but make the recipes in their own kitchens as well. But it also helps to bring parents and kids together in the kitchen – something that I wish my mom had done with me.
Recipes featured on Hey Kids, Let’s Cook?are simple enough for kids to create, yet delicious for the whole family. It’s all about bright colored food and kitchen equipment as well as recipe demonstrations from animated characters that make cooking interesting to kids. Of course, eating their creations is just the icing on the cake {total pun intended}!
