I have always had a strong love of games. They bring out the competitive side of me and it is always in good fun. I especially like playing them as an adult because I can play games with my own little family. I enjoy teaching them about games and I like the awesome family time it gives us. Winning Moves Games has a huge variety of games to make the perfect family game night. They offer some traditional games that you have seen before as well as some that are unique and new!

We all remember the Rubik’s Cube of the 80s and for me I never once came close to solving that mind enigma! It always looks so simple and so easy. I figured the Rubik’s 2×2 would be a great way to introduce my girls to the famous game but in a smaller version.
If you think it is easier with only 4 on a side you are sadly mistaken. This little game is as hard as ever! It has a new mechanical design to make twisting it as smooth as ever and no stickers so there is no cheating to make the sides match up! It says 8 and up but at 33 I am still unable to solve it! This little brother is still a lot of fun to play and great for travel or to take any place you want to keep your mind occupied.
A game I can actually complete is the exciting Fish, Fish, Squish! This game is for the 5 and up crowd but my 3.5 year old has no problem playing along with us. We just give her the slightest bit of help. It includes a deck of 54 colorful fish playing cards, 4 re-sealable bags of safe modeling fun dough (blue, yellow, orange, and purple), 4 plastic fish molds, 4 player mats and illustrated instructions.
Each person takes turns flipping over one card and the object of the game is to get 3 different fish in a row and you then get to squish someone’s fish!
Here is what it looks like if you get 3 in a row. You must keep your wits about you because if you don’t notice that you got 3 in a row the next person can squish a fish instead of you!
One of my all time favorite games is Pass the Pigs and now they have the even more fun Pass the Pigs: Pig Party! This is a great game that I really enjoy playing with my oldest daughter and husband but I really really love playing this game with a group of my own friends, especially when adult beverages are involved. It includes 8 pigs (4 pairs), deck of 30 Pig Roll, Bonus and Point cards, zippered carrying case and illustrated instructions.
You roll the pigs like dice and you score points by having them land in certain ways. There are ways to get bonus points and there are special rules for if pigs touch each other or if they land a certain way. First player to 100 wins. This is a fast paced game that is way more fun than it may seem. I love that the Pig Party version has 4 sets of pigs instead of the traditional one set so more people can play at once.
These are absolutely great games for families. Two are super fun board games and the other is a smaller take on a classic and we all need a frustrating mind twister once in a while to stay sharp. Family game night is definitely one of the highlights of our week and these are all crowd pleasers.
