I live in a house of car lovers. My husband has always been obsessed with cars and even texts his friends pictures of cool cars that he sees when he’s out. Naturally, the love of cars was passed on to my son. Even as a young toddler, he’s had a love of playing with cars, both big and small. He now points out cars he sees that he likes and can even pick out his favorite by name, the Corvette. Since both my son and husband love cars, I thought what better thing for them to do together than play with and build their ownModarricars, the coolest mix and match cars for kids.
Thanks to real suspension in each car, you can really feel the road as you speed along. The cars include orange cones, decals and a hex tool. Make a pit stop and break the car down where you can swap out the tires, chassis and other parts with those from other Modarri toy cars. The cars alone can be built different ways and they each come with a unique license plate number that can be registered on the Modarri website.
As soon as my husband realized the cars had real suspension, he was sold. He said this was the coolest car toy he’s ever played with and I’ve caught him switching parts out and playing long after my son has gone to bed.
While my son is a bit on the younger side as this toy is recommended for ages 8+, he had no trouble accepting a little help from dad when using the hex tool and once the tool was positioned in the correct spot, he was able to tighten and loosen the screws with no problem. My favorite part about the toy is all of the screws are retained within the pieces so you don’t have to worry about losing them.
It’s no wonder Popular Science awarded them “Best Toy in Show” even before they were sold in a retail outlet. Not only do these cars look cool, but they’re incredibly well-made and extremely durable. There’s no cheap plastic here and they’ve held up quite well with my rough little boy. Since all of the pieces mix and match, there are endless combinations to how you build and construct these cars. This is the type of quality toy I’ve been wanting to find for my son and I’m so glad he’ll have these for years to come. These really make the perfect toy for any car lover, young or old, and provide hours of fun between mixing, building,and racing the cars.
