There is nothing better during the warmer days of the year than using a slow cooker so you can actually enjoy being outside! This is my recipe for delicious sweet and spicy pulled pork sliders. You can mix it up with your favorite BBQ sauce or leave them as they are!
Ingredients:
- 1-2lb Pork Shoulder Roast
- 1 Large Sweet Onion
- 2 Tbsp Season Salt
- 1Tbsp Cumin
- 2 Tsp Garlic Salt
- 1 Tsp Chili Powder
- 1 Cup Honey
- 1 Tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
Slice the onion into quarters and lay on the inside of your slow cooker. Slice your pork in half and set on top of the onion.
Mix all the seasons together and then add the honey and red wine vinegar. Pour mixture over the pork and onions.
Cook in the slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours when the pork pulls away easily with a fork. Then you can either add your favorite BBQ, or just place the pork onto slider rolls!
I love adding banana peppers to most of my spring/summer sandwiches, but you can choose your favorite warm day sides! Consider crisping thinly sliced onions and topping the sliders off for a crunchy treat!
Happy Spring!
