In this book a day at the beach becomes an AQUALICIOUS adventure when Pinkalicious meets a merminnie at the seashore, which is a small and very rare mermaid. The merminnie, Aqualicious, wants to find her way home, and Pinkalicious and Peter decide to help but after they show her all of the pinkamazing things to do at the shore of course. There is castle building and surfing to do!
Of course Pinkalicious always has a fun adventure and the illustrations are truly as amazing as the story. When I am reading to my girls we like to spend a few minutes on each page just pointing out all the things going on in the picture. According to the About Me Section on her website it says it takes her almost one year to illustrate one book. It all pays off as it really shows her hard work and dedication with the stunning final product!
The Pinkalicious series has sold more than 15 million copies, been translated into 8 languages, and is sold in 9 countries. This book isn’t just for girls because boys can like pink too! The series has inspired a stage musical as well as lines of party goods, toys, bicycles, furniture, and dolls. With a soon-to-be television show, the Pinkalicious franchise shows no sign of slowing down and as the mom of 2 young girls I could not be more thrilled!
Visit the ThinkPinkalicious website for more pinktastic fun including downloadable activities and a curriculum guide. I honestly had no idea there were so many Pinkalicious themed toys but you can check them all out on the website too. These books are always too cute and Pinkalicious has certainly become a favorite book character with my girls. This book would look fabulous in an Easter basket as a perfect gift *wink wink*.
