I’ve been thinking about it for years – a transfer to WordPress. I’ve just never done it. Realistically, I should have done it from the very beginning, but I was scared. Yes, scared – I freely and openly admit it. I thought things would change so much that I would be overwhelmed. I was afraid that I’d lose readers or have constant problems with my site being down. You name it, I was scared of it. But it’s time to stop living in fear and grasp the reality that moving to WordPress will probably be the best thing that I can do for this blog and I’ll most likely regret that I didn’t make the move sooner.
I found a designer and she seems to be in touch with what I’m looking for in a design; something simple and sleek. So we’re doing away with the cartoon people, even though I’ll probably miss them at first. But it’s time for this blog to grow up and the first start is getting rid of them. As much as I do adore my little cartoon family, they’ve got to get on out. I want something with a more relaxed and simple feel.
So please bear with us in the coming weeks as we make the changes and work out all of the kinks. I’ve also got to learn a whole new platform, so that in itself should be a whole lot of fun – or not! Since WordPress blogs don’t allow the whole Google Friend Connect thing, you might want to make sure you follow us through our email newsletter or your favorite feed reader.
