Mexican food is among my favorite of cuisines. From the tasty classics like Tacos and Burritos, to things like Chimichangas and Fajitas. In my mind, you can never go wrong with your choice of Mexican meal. In fact, some of the best appetizers fall into this bold and tasty cuisine like Quesadillas and Nachos. Today, I wanted to spice (pun totally intended!) things up a bit and combine two of my absolute favorites. I knew that it could be done, I just didn’t know that the end result would tantalize my taste buds like never before!
You guys, I seriously outdid myself on this one, according to my husband. I made the most amazing Steak Fajita Nachos and even the veggie haters in this house totally agreed. The best part is that they’re super easy to make thanks to a simple packet of McCormick? Skillet Sauces. They can even feed a large crowd, so I will be making these for our next party!
You’ll need the following ingredients to make your own Steak Fajita Nachos:
- 1 lb thinly sliced round steak
- McCormick? Skillet Sauces: Fajita with Roasted Chili, Garlic & Lime
- 2 Roma tomatoes, diced
- 1 Green pepper, diced
- 8oz shredded Cheddar cheese
- Sour cream
- Salsa
- Bag of Tortilla chips
Fajita with Roasted Chili, Garlic & Lime: Fire up fajitas with this sizzling blend of roasted chili pepper, garlic and lime.
Step 1. Cut the meat into 1/4 – 1/2 inch pieces and cook over medium heat until browned. Drain any fat or liquid from cooking. Reduce heat and add the McCormick? Skillet Sauces: Fajita with Roasted Chili, Garlic & Lime. Simmer for 3 minutes.
Step 2. Layer the tortilla chips on a plate or platter. Load them up with the meat, followed by shredded cheese, tomato, green pepper, sour cream and salsa.
Step 3. Eat and enjoy!
Meals and appetizers can be so much easier with the help of McCormick? Skillet Sauces. Other varieties include Smoky Applewood BBQ Chicken with Bacon, Taco with Chipotle & Garlic, Sesame Chicken Stir-Fry, Sweet & Smoky Sloppy Joes, Fire Roasted Garlic Chili and Sicilian Chicken with Tomato, Basil & Garlic. I for one, cannot wait to try them all!
Would you top your Steak Fajita Nachos with other veggies or goodies? What would you pick?
