I’m writing about two new series of workbooks from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Achieve! and Curious George Adventures in Learning mix education with fun. In these 320-page workbooks for children ages 3-9, playful scenarios and interactive pages empower young learners to think, solve, and create.
The Achieve! series is for Grades 1-3, with a different book for each of those grade levels. It is photo-based with activities that help learners connect their practice to the real world. Vibrant magazine-like pages make curricula appealing and accessible. I really like the full color pages!
Each books features hundreds of number and letter cards and one hundred stickers. It also includes a code for a free download of the entire workbook so that you can print your favorite activity for extra practice.
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt is a global learning company with the mission of changing people’s lives by fostering passionate, curious learners. Their cutting-edge research and excellence in editorial content is what keeps me coming back to their materials.
The pages are bright and colorful yet still easy to read for my girls to work in. My kindergartener begs to work in her Curious George workbook. She thinks of it as fun and she does indeed have fun while working in it. She has always been eager to learn and these books are a great way to do that at home. I am a firm believer that learning needs to happen at home no matter how well kids are doing in school. These workbooks make it fun in the best way possible.
