It’s winter and living in the Northern part of the Midwest {Wisconsin}, things can get pretty brutal when the temperatures start to drop. We have to worry about massive snowfall and below freezing temperatures and sometimes you just don’t know when either will hit because our weather is literally hit or miss. So naturally, when I was invited into the #Snowvember Panasonic program, my gut instinct was Yes, with a capital “Y”!
For those bitter chilled days when it’s too cold to even step outside, we loaded the family room with a 3.1 Channel Sound Bar Home Theater System and a Smart Network WiFi Blu-ray Disc? Player DMP-BD91 from Panasonic. This way the kids can watch movies or play their video games on those days where it’s just too cold for anything else.
I thought these would be great for the kids, but you should have seen my husband’s face when he saw that box on the ground. I swear his eyes lit up like a kid’s at Christmas and he tore into that box like a fool. Within minutes he’d ripped the sound bar out and was in the family room setting it up. A few minutes later, I could hear the sound pounding through my house and I knew right then he was in his perfectly content state – country music blasting.
Each evening since then, instead of playing on his computer or watching television in bed, I’ve found him in the family room, watching movies on the Blu-ray player or listening to music through the Sounds Bar’s Bluetooth connectivity. I think it’s safe to say that our family gathering spot is back!
I have to say, despite it’s large size in length, the rest of the Sound Bar Home Theater System is quite sleek. The actual sound bar fits perfectly in front of the television and the subwoofer fits discreetly next to the couch. Since both are wireless, I don’t have to worry about cords hanging out – which is pretty awesome in my book!
In addition to the great products that I mentioned above, I also get to test out the LUMIX DMC-TS5 Wi-Fi Enabled Lifestyle Tough Camera which is just pretty darn snazzy if you ask me! It’s rugged, it’s waterproof, it’s dustproof and it’s shock and freeze proof. I’d say this is the perfect camera for someone like me who lives on the lake and is a mom to winter sports enthusiasts! Now I can capture all of our fun moments in the snow and on the ice without having to worry about damaging my camera or dropping it in the water, because this baby is waterproof!
I’ll tell you right now, this camera will get a lot of use, in wintertime and beyond. Imagine getting bright and beautiful underwater shots while playing in the lake or pool. Or better yet, recording a video while riding on a sled or going down a water slide. The possibilities of captured fun and almost endless and I’m already quite smitten!
