Most of my friends know me to be a bit of a cat lady. Cats come to me no matter where I’m at and I would have a whole house full of them if I could. Of all of the cats out there, even my own, my favorite by far is Grumpy Cat. Her face just cracks me up and I love looking at pictures of her when I’ve had a rough day. Naturally, I just had to watch her first movie, Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever.
In this feline sensation’s first movie, Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever, lonely Grumpy Cat lives in a mall pet shop where she never gets chosen by customers. Because she always gets passed over, this kitty develops a very sour outlook on life until…one day during the holidays, a very special 12-year-old girl named Chrystal enters the pet store and falls in love with Grumpy. The two form a special friendship when Chrystal discovers she is the only person who can hear this feline talk. Will Grumpy Cat finally learn the true meaning of Christmas, or will it be, in Grumpy’s words, the ?Worst. Christmas. Ever.??
This movie was hilariously cute and even my husband enjoyed it. I absolutely loved Aubrey Plaza voicing Grumpy Cat and I think her voice was just perfect for Grumpy. The shameless plugs for buying merchandise made the movie even funnier in my opinion and all of the random pop-up commentaries from Grumpy throughout the movie were honestly what helped the movie to be so great. The storyline was really cute and a feel-good movie, but the grumpiness of Grumpy Cat made it the Best Christmas (movie) Ever!
