Makeena’s Beginning:
Makeena was born because Karen Frame wanted to change people’s mindsets about shopping for natural products. Many of Karen’s friends were afraid to shop at popular natural food stores because they felt like they were going to spend their whole paycheck on just a few items (sound familiar?). Like too many of today’s shoppers, they made unhealthy and unsustainable shopping decisions because there are too few discounts, specials, and rewards offered to natural product shoppers. In short, Karen realized that shoppers often remain unaware of the benefits of natural products and make purchasing decisions based on price versus quality.
Here is a run down of
what makeena can do for you. You can search by brand and if you don’t have any
idea of the brand you are looking for (like I normally am) then you can
search by category. You can also search by store based off your location and even search by attribute such as foods with no GMOs or gluten free so you can find the foods that you want.
It can tell you where to find those
items and how much you can save. Now you can pick out new items to try and all from your phone
before you get to the store.
Brands introduce and incenticize their products through offers, flash deals, or even joint promotions with other brands where in turn you get to try something new and at a great price.
