Now that summer is here, we find ourselves out and about all of the time, especially during meal time. Whether I’m having lunch at the park with Nugget or having a nice evening picnic with Hubby, it’s certainly nice to dine alfresco. The downfall is I hate having to pack a big lunchbox or picnic basket full of food. Thanks to the fun and functional bento boxes from Monbento, I’ve learned that packing lunches doesn’t have to be in a giant, bulky bag or basket.

The Monbento Bento MB Original is absolutely perfect for lunches, snacks, or any food for on-the-go. I love how stylish it looks – very sleek – yet it’s also quite functional. Hubby and I used it to have a light evening picnic the other day. I was worried I was going to have too much food in there, but much to my surprise I could’ve easily packed more. I also really liked the extra food cup inside – it would be great to put a dipping sauce in.

The first collection designed by monbento?, MB Original is the ideal format for lunch at the office, picnics and TV dinners. Consisting in two airtight containers, a food cup for MB Original in color of top container and a wide elastic strap, foods stay in place and arrive intact. Similar in design to its predecessor, the new version has many new features. Made in stronger high-quality plastic with a “soft-touch” finish, the new lunchbox combines sturdiness and style. To vary your meals and open compartments more easily, the intermediary lid has also been improved and is now 100% airtight ! And because ease of use is an obsession for monbento?, the new MB Original is now fully microwave ready (thanks to a little silicone cap in the intermediary lids) and dishwasher safe.

Hubby thinks this is so cool and I know once summer is over and Nugget is back in school, he’ll be using it for work. He often takes boring sandwiches to work because he doesn’t like to bring a bunch of plastic containers for different items, but with the Monbento Bento MB Original, he has plenty of storage space for all of the different food items he’d like to bring. Knowing that it’s microwave safe and BPA free is a big plus because he often wants to bring food he can warm up, but doesn’t like to in the junkie plastic containers we have at home.

Monbento has more than just lunch boxes. They have great accessories like cutlery and chopsticks, and even make great bowls and drink containers as well. The Monbento line is great for all of your on-the-go lunch needs. I know that our summer adventures out of the house will be so much easier now that we have an easy way to take food with us on the go.
