Every kid has a favorite character or hero. My son absolutely loves the movie Cars and cannot get enough of Tow Mater. He has at least 3 Mater cars, a Mater ride on toy, and pretty much all of his stuff must be Cars related. He’s also currently learning to use the potty. When I found out about Helping Heroes I thought, why not combine his favorite character Mater with my desire to get him onto the potty.
Helping Heroes just needs an email of the NAME of the person you’d like the message for, the CHARACTER you would like to hear, and WHAT you would like them to say! We will send your custom voice recording in an .mp3 format. If you prefer to receive the recording on your phone, send us your phone number, and we can text you the message in a voice memo!
Please ask for ANY character you can think of!! And be specific about what you’d like to hear. It could be a happy birthday message, an outgoing voicemail, or a reminder for your child to do their homework – any occasion you can think of! If for some reason we are unable to perform the requested character, we will notify you immediately and offer other suggestions.
He was completely shocked at first that Mater called him. I decided to play the message for him when he told me he had to go potty (instead of me just taking him every 30 minutes) so it would make it truly special. After recording his initial reaction, he insisted I call his Daddy at work so he could tell him who called him. Almost every day since when he asks to go to the potty, he asks to talk to Mater when he’s finished. He also asks if Lightning McQueen has called, and perhaps once he’s officially potty trained, we’ll have to arrange for that phone call from Helping Heroes.
The people behind Helping Heroes are incredibly easy to work with and respond to you quickly. I wasn’t sure of the exact message I wanted, but gave them an idea of what I’d like them to say and let them work their magic. The message was absolutely perfect and my son immediately knew who was calling. I can’t wait to use their services again for other milestones as my son grows up.
