We are trying to go all-natural in our household. Nothing with preservatives, artificial colors, filler, and so on. I’m tired of the sluggish and just how run-down we all feel when we do ingest anything that’s “unnatural”. This can be difficult when your kid just wants to cram candy and fast-food into his face. Even if he loves fruits and vegetables, it just doesn’t feel balanced to me. When Xlear Inc. told me about their line of Sparx ‘Dandy Candy’ and Kid’s Spry Tooth Gel made with Xylitol.
Xylitol is an all natural sugar alcohol not only found naturally in small amounts in our bodies, but also in fruits and vegetables. It is not a sugar substitute/artificial sweetener! It has been shown to be slowly absorbed by the body, resulting in lower calorie consumption and has little effect on blood sugar. Xylitol could also help lower tooth decay! With all these benefits, I knew that giving Sonshine items made with Xylitol would be safe!
Sparx Candy is available in three different flavor containers, which each contain three different flavors. The green one is Fruit and contains Apple, Banana, and Grape pieces. It’s Sonshine’s favorite, with the banana flavor the clear winner. The pink container is Berry with Blueberry, Raspberry, and Strawberry. Very mellow flavors. They yellow is Citrus and my favorite in Lime, Orange, and Tangerine. Tangy and just a bit tart, this is my personal favorite flavor! I love how the container’s lid is built on, so no little fingers losing it! And they’re the perfect size for purses or pockets, leaving your “sugar” craving at just a fingertips reach.
Spry Tooth Gel is made with Xylitol as well and is fluoride-free, making it a great gel to use with three months and up. Sonshine has been using the Strawberry Banana flavor for a month now and he loves it. It cleans his teeth and gums just as well as a toddler’s toothpaste. I never have to argue with him to brush his teeth during the day or before bed. The only problem is getting him to stop, he’ll brush his teeth two or three times before he feels they’re clean enough. I just think he enjoys the flavor! As long as he doesn’t just suck it out of the tube, I’m just happy he’s brushing and brushing well!
If you’re looking for natural treats or a safe to use toothpaste for you children, then look into Xlear’s line of items that are sugar free and use the all natural and safe to use Xylitol.
