Spoil Dad This Father’s Day with Gifts From the Heart by Crayola

I love nothing more than a handmade gift from my Nugget. There’s just something special about a hand drawn card or a sweet picture made from the heart. Of course, nothing says handmade quite like Crayola. From crayons to chalk to their cool Color Explosion paper, they have you covered for any type of creation you want to make. 

We are big fans of the Color Wonder products. I love that they don’t stain clothes or fabric because sometimes Nugget can be pretty messy when he colors. We’ve never tried the Color Wonder paints before, but Nugget was really excited to try them. He now calls them his magic paints because the gel is clear, but turns colors on the paper. 

I found this great craft idea from Crayola called Wonderful Tracings that uses Color Wonder paper and markers. Since Nugget has so many toy tools, I thought tracing his tools instead of household items would put a great Father’s Day spin on craft.

I asked Nugget to gather all of his toy tools and we set to work on making Daddy some tool filled art.

All you need is to gather some traceable items – could be tools, cars, whatever Dad might like. Trace each item one at a time on the Color Wonder paper. Overlap the shapes and fill up the paper and you’re done.

This is a great, simple craft to make that is definitely different from anything I ever made for my dad. It’s like a card and cool art combined. Since Nugget loves playing tools with his dad, I knew this would be absolutely perfect.

Crayola has so many craft ideas on their site. You can search by occasion, product, and even narrow the search based on your child’s age. Homemade gifts are truly gifts from the heart and I’m sure any dad would be thrilled to receive a fun Crayola creation as a Father’s Day gift.
