I love getting together with the girls. Living in a house with 6 males, where even most of the animals are male, things get rather lonely here at times. I thought it would be fun to get some girl time in, so I invited a few of my friends and two of the neighbors over for a #PlayingHouseParty the weekend before last.
I got a really fun kit that included party goodies and two episodes of Playing House, an original new comedy that airs on USA network Tuesdays at 10/9c. It’s about two best friends who end up raising a baby together.
“In the new series, childhood best friends Maggie Caruso (Lennon Parham, ?Best Friends Forever?) and Emma Carter (Jessica St. Clair, ?Best Friends Forever?) have shared countless adventures growing up together in the charming town of Pinebrook, CT. Now, Maggie and Emma are in store for one of their biggest adventures?raising a baby. When Maggie discovers that her husband is having an online affair with a muscular German woman, Emma gives up her burgeoning business career in China to stay in their hometown and help Maggie raise her baby. Best of all, the stars are besties in real life too!”
Since we all have kids, I thought it would be fun to have a “girls day” instead of night. This way, everyone could bring their kids and they could all play outside, under the watchful eye of the older kiddos, while the moms enjoyed the show.
I put out some snacks and we enjoyed wine and these delicious Hawaiian Punch drinks that are one of my favorites.
Our party started off with chatter, but soon the room became silent because we were all so interested in the show. Playing House is quite funny, so of course there was lots of laughter!
We all had a great time and thought Playing House was quite good and each of us said we would totally watch it again. Our ages range from 30’s to late 50’s, so it’s a great show for audiences of all adult ages!
The finale episode of Playing House is on tonight, at 10/9 central, so I highly recommend tuning in and/or setting your DVR to record it. It’s definitely worth a watch! I’m definitely looking forward to a relaxing evening in front of the television with a nice cocktail!
