Over a year ago I started a transformation to a healthier and happier me. That meant joining a gym and eating healthier. I started small by only going to the gym a few times a week and then I gradually increased it since I found that I enjoyed going. I then started adding in fitness classes. By far the class I enjoy going to the most is my yoga class. When I started I could not even touch my toes and now I can do that and so much more! It is the class I feel like I have accomplished the most when I leave. All this time I have been using the yoga equipment provided by my gym and let me just say I never felt the best using it. There is nothing quite as nice as having your own personal yoga mat from Aurorae Yoga!
This particular mat is the Synergy yoga mat that has a built in towel for hot yoga and for those of you with moist hands and feet that is often the culprit for slipping. It has the nice 5mm thickness that I like and the 72″ length that my 5’10” self requires. What makes this mat unique is that the mat is bonded to their ultra absorbent slip free microfiber towel for no more slipping. With this mat you no longer have to lay down a separate yoga towel on top of your mat which for me always would bunch up anyways. This is the all in one solution to slipping. It is suggested that spraying the areas where your hands and feet go during downward dog with water before use will help with grip until your hands and feet start to sweat on their own.
Aurorae Yoga offers up several other important yoga products as well as different kinds of mats. They also have Pledge Candles that are 100% soy wax candles with a burn time of around 30-35 hours. These meditation candles are to help you concentrate on a particular state of mind while meditating. I find that doing yoga with a candle burning I definitely feel more relaxed and my mind wanders off less often. It can be so hard to focus on the yoga here and now but these candles do help! They come in several yummy scents including lavender, vanilla, eucalyptus, rose, chocolate and cinnamon.
I bring the mat to my yoga class and I am ready to go. Saves me the hassle of having to bring a yoga mat and a towel. This thing is also safe to put in the washing machine which for me is a bonus! This synergy mat is the most innovative mat I have ever seen and a must for those of you that do hot yoga or have sweaty hands and feet when you practice yoga.
