Once upon a time I was a skimpy biking wearing 20-something year old girl. Now that I’m a mom and almost 30, I look for bathing suits that are a bit less revealing. It’s hard to find a good swimsuit that makes me feel young and cute instead of just frumpy and mom like. Beverly Swimwear is the perfect combination of modest and cute, while staying classic yet up to date on the latest style.
One of the coolest things about Beverly Swimwear is how the shop was started and that Beverly makes the suits herself.
Hi I?m Beverly, I grew up on the coast of southern California. My life has been filled with perfect weather and beautiful beaches. I love to design, style and create clothes. I have been sewing for most of my life whether it be helping my mom with her quilting or creating my own clothing.
Growing up in San Diego I?ve spent a large part of my life in swimsuits. Like everyone else I always struggled to find modest swimsuits that I loved and that I could also afford. I knew I could help solve this problem not only for myself, but also for the many others that are searching for cute modest swimwear.
Once I graduated I started a new venture by creating my own business, Beverly Swimwear, an online shop selling cute modest swimwear, giving people more options of styles at a reasonable price.

I loved the tankini swimsuit I got to try – The Gathered Gal – with the boy shorts bottoms in size XL. The suit fit great in my stomach area which is my biggest problem and the bottoms were perfect. I like that the bottoms are higher wasted because it allows me to be comfortable without having to worry about accidentally exposing my stomach – and the higher waste on the bottoms has an excellent slimming effect. The chest area was a little large on me (since I’m not an XL in that area, but am everywhere else), but since Beverly hand makes each swimsuit, she can customize your swimsuit to better fit your body and accommodate your needs.
All of her swimsuits are unique, fun, and affordable. Her suits are less than what you’d pay in a department store, and you’re getting a high quality and customized swimsuit just for you. Every time I go on her Facebook page, she’s working on something new in some sort of fabulous fabric or making the swimsuit in a new fun way like having a skirt or with cool cut outs on the sides.
Living in Florida, I know I’m going to get great use out of this swimsuit. I can’t wait to spend my summers lounging on the beach and actually feeling comfortable and confident in my new Beverly Swimwear swimsuit.
