My family just loves sweet treats and desserts. So of course, the nice little mom, sister and wife that I am, I create some pretty tasty stuff for them from time to time.I just love using Sara Lee products in my dessert creations, so when they approached me to create something new, I was all on board. My only issue was in deciding what to make, since I wanted something original, unlike the other recipes I’d created before, using their delicious pound cake and angel food cake.

It’s actually sort of funny because my husband and son were no help whatsoever, so while at the store I just looked around and decided what I would make. I thought a fruit and cake sundae sounded great, so I went with it. I grabbed some blackberries, kiwi, Sara Lee Pound Cake and vanilla ice cream
I didn’t want it to be super plain, so I brought out my fun daisy flower shaped cookie cutter, slice the pound cake just a tad larger than the cookie cutter, then into thirds lengthwise.
I set it neatly on a plate, topped with a scoop of ice cream, some blackberries and kiwi chunks, then drizzled hot fudge across the plate – not just for pretty looks, but great taste as well!
I have to say, it was a-mazing – like seriously one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time! The kiwi and blackberries paired perfectly together and the hot fudge just completed it. One bite of it all together and it was like Heaven on a fork. The Sara Lee Pound Cake was the perfect base because it held the ice cream well and had such a moist, delicious taste.
The best part – my family loved it! Just writing this and looking at these photos makes me want more!
