Chocolate covered pretzels are a delicious treat for any time of year and the kids will have so much fun helping to make these Milk & White Chocolate Covered Pretzels for Easter. The bonus – they’re super easy to make, so even little kids can help! Lil Man helped me and even made some of them on his own, so get the bigger kids involved too!
Supplies/Ingredients:
- White chocolate to melt
- Milk chocolate to melt
- Pretzel rods
- Sprinkles
- Wax paper
- Microwave safe bowl/dish
- Spoon
Lay a sheet of wax paper on your work surface. Then melt your chocolate one flavor at a time so it doesn’t harden before you’re ready to move on to the next. I used a glass measuring cup because I thought I’d be able to dip the pretzel right in. That didn’t work the greatest, so instead we used a spoon, holding the pretzel over the measuring cup and spooned the chocolate on from about the middle of the pretzel down, turning the pretzel as we went to make sure we covered the entire pretzel.
Once pretzel is covered in chocolate, lay it on the wax paper and immediately cover with sprinkles. You want to do this right away, before the chocolate starts to harden. Let stand on wax paper for about 15-20 minutes. Then you can dig in and enjoy!
You can really get creative with chocolate covered pretzels. You could drizzle white chocolate over the milk chocolate ones or use different sprinkles. You could even use the colored chocolate they sell at craft stores!
