Spring is in the air and summertime will be here before we know it. I’m shouting from the rooftops and rejoicing because it sure took a long time to get here! ‘Tis the season for backyard barbecues and fun on the lake. I get excited just thinking about it!
I tell you, I cannot wait to fire up our grill and host some fan-tabulous parties this year! Looking through my photos, this one reminded me of our first get-together of the year in 2012. It was Memorial Day weekend and we threw a spur of the moment party and had so much fun!
Funny thing is though, we’ve gone to quite a few parties where the hosts forgot to pick up some propane for their gas grills – silly people! Guess they were out of the loop because you can?t call it grilling without AmeriGas?! What are you most looking forward to on the grill this year?
Me, I’m just looking forward to grilling season in general. My husband knows how to master that grill and just grills up amazing food every time. No lie – our friends often ask him to grill when at their houses. Of course, sometimes he’ll be nice and oblige, but not always because he likes to have fun too!
One of the things he’ll be whipping up on the grill this summer is these Bacon Steak Bombs They make a great appetizer or meal and are a crowd favorite! They’re super easy to make too!
I could go on and on for days about all of the delicious summer foods I’m looking forward too. A friend and I were scouring Pinterest the other day for new summer salad ideas. We decided that our first big party would be full of summer foods and each person would need to bring two different things so we can have all of our favorites! I am so excited and can’t wait to start planning!
