I have only mild allergies. The usual: dust, pollen, etc. I don’t dread the start of any particular season. But I know there are many people who dread the start of the Spring allergy season.
My daughter also has mild allergies, but she also has eczema. On bad weeks in the dry winter her skin feels scaly and we joke that she feels like a dragon. In the Spring her skin flares up as a reaction to her seasonal allergies. We aren’t exactly sure what triggers it. Thankfully, for us, it hasn’t been bad enough that we needed to find out. But she does get scaly patches, that she will itch until it hurts.
In any case, we have had trouble finiding lotions or cleansers that would help her skin feel better. Even lotions labeled, “For sensitive skin.” don’t always do the job. And the more reading I do, the more I realize what is actually IN some of these lotions and soaps. Ick.

By the end of Winter, this is what Simone’s skin looked like. Dry, scaly, rough. And always itchy.
When I received this package in the mail, I was really excited to use it. The Exederm line of children’s skin products includes: shampoo, wash, lotion, moisturizer, and skin oil. We were able to try out the Baby Wash, Lotion, and Moisturizer.
Children with sensitive skin need products with less irritants – WHY TAKE RISKS?
Exederm has been specially formulated to avoid harsh chemicals, unnecessary additives and unproven herbal ingredients that may irritate and cause a rash on sensitive skin or trigger an eczema flare-up on your child’s skin.
ALL exederm baby products are:
- no fragrance
- no parabens
- no lanolin
- no propylene glycol
- no color or dyes
- no (sls) sodium laureth sulfate
- no (capb) cocamidopropyl betaine
- no phthalates
We have seen great results. The most notable is that Simone is not nearly as itchy as before. She is much happier and I have a weight lifted off my shoulders. No more searching for the perfect products for her skin.
