Over the holidays we were introduced to School Zone by my grandparents. My daughter has been having a difficult time this year grasping multiplication so they bought her a Math Basics workbook. We quit using the curriculum we were using so that she could work in this workbook. When School Zone offered for me to review some of their workbooks and flash cards I was more than glad to give them a try.

I love how this workbook starts from the beginning by grouping shapes. This way she has to learn the strategies all over again. Hoping that she will finally grasp the concept by how they have laid it out for her in this workbook.

Not only is my daughter struggling in Math, but she has a hard time Spelling as well. This Spelling workbook is a little too easy for her, but it is geared to 1-3 graders so I flipped towards the end of the book where it refers to consonant blends. This is the hardest part for her when she is sounding out words. Even if it’s easy she is still learning how to spell words correctly, and the best part is she loves to work in it.
Now a days not all the schools have cursive writing in their curriculum’s and it is one of those things everyone has to learn. We had been working on our own, but it is great to have a workbook to use instead. The workbook begins with the alphabet, and has diagrams on how to write each capital and lower case letter.
My three-year-old daughter has been wanting to have homework ‘school? with her sister. The Preschool workbooks are packed with challenging lessons that reinforce reading and math skills and are colorful, fun and engaging. We have flipped through these workbooks and we have started with size and colors.
