This is week 4 of the BMO Harris Bank Scavenger Hunt Sweepstakes and it’s all about College this week. Just the thought of that scares me. I am so not prepared! The sad reality is that I have just over four years before Big Bro graduates to get myself and our finances fully prepared. I better start saving now!
Even more important than that, the kid really needs to start thinking about what he wants to do with his life. He needs to sit down one day and weigh all of his options, decide which type of college he wants to go to and if he wants to be close to home or live far away, on campus. He also needs to think of career ideas – things he could see himself doing and jobs that he might enjoy. One of my worst fears is having these boys work a job they don’t love. I feel they’ll be more productive and happy in the overall lives if they love what they do.
So anyway, back to the BMO Harris Bank Scavenger Hunt, you can enter for a chance to win $500 this week! The contest will run from now until 11:59:59 am CT on 3/17/14 and a winner will be drawn on March 20th. Entering is super easy, just head the BMO Harris Bank Facebook page and “Like” the page, then start playing!
Once you hit the sweepstakes page, you’ll click on the red box that says “Enter Week 4 College Bound” and you’ll come to the page below. You’ll need to explore the red balloons and locate the three tokens.
The first balloon I uncovered was a question. It asked “By the time a child born in 2006 reaches college age, the average cost for a 4-year college tuition will be close to $200,000” and I had to answer true or false. I answered correctly and received a token.
The other balloons contained facts, videos and questions. Once I had collected all three tokens, I was able to enter my name and other information into the sweepstakes for a chance to win $500.
How much did you or your parents spend on College?
