- 1 pound bulk Italian Sausage
- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of pizza sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning and/or basil
- 8 ounces pepperoni, separated (4 ounces cut in half)
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 16 ounces shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
- 1 onion (large dice)
Brown the sausage with the mushrooms; drain the grease. After the sausage is browned add onions and saute until translucent. Add green peppers and saute then add 4 oz of halved pepperoni. Meanwhile, whisk the cream, pizza sauce and seasonings in a medium bowl. Make Pizza dough below.
Once the dough is lightly browned add meat/onion/peppers and then pour in the sauce mixture. Top with the half of cheese and pepperoni. Sprinkle with a little more garlic powder, Italian seasoning and a any remaining cheese. Bake at 350? for 30 minutes until nicely browned.
- 2 Cups Almond Meal/Flour
- 2 Eggs
- 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Tsp salt
Instructions:
1. Mix all the ingredients together to form a dough.
2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
3. Spread the dough into a greased 9×13 pan.
4. Bake for 10-15 minutes ? until middle is cooked.
5. Take out of the oven and finish your pizza casserole
I like this recipe because it is pizza and my kids love pizza so I find that this recipe is especially kid friendly.
