I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – probably until I’m blue in the face. I live in a house full of guys and we have 3 dogs. I’m sure you’d hate to imagine the messes I deal with on a daily basis.
That being said, I have to vacuum daily – some days, multiple times! I need a vacuum that will do the job quickly and perform at its best every time. So when I heard about the Gtech AirRam Vacuum, it was a no brainer that I had to at least give it a shot in our cleaning routine.
We set out to design a vacuum cleaner that would take everything you hate about vacuuming and make it disappear. The result is the AirRam, a new design of cordless vacuum cleaner, with the performance of a corded vacuum.
It is lightweight, powerful, clean and cordless.
I think they had me at cordless! Our house is 2200 sq ft and the layout is just odd, to say the least. Lugging a vacuum from room to room, unplugging then plugging back in somewhere else just becomes a very tedious task after awhile. I used to have a cordless vacuum a few years ago and just loved it so I was excited to give the?Gtech AirRam a shot.
The Gtech AirRam arrived nicely packaged in a flat box, so it was easy to get all of the parts out. It was funny, because at first I was trying to open from the top of the box, like others I’ve had in the past. I was getting frustrated because it wasn’t working, then felt like an idiot once I realized it opened from the side. Go ahead, laugh all you want. I do have my special moments!
Once I took everything out of the box, I was surprised that there weren’t a whole bunch of pieces that I had to assemble together. Just a few pieces popped into place and this baby was assembled. I did it easily by myself, when I’d normally have The Man on hand for a project like this.
The charger plugs right into the vacuum. There’s one for the wall and even a USB that connects directly to your computer – how neat!
The Gtech AirRam is lightweight and can easily be carried upstairs. It has really great suction, easily picking up dog hair and other debris. The canister is easy to empty. In fact, it’s right there on top and removes completely from the vacuum base. You can also just slide the lid off to see how full it is, like I’ve shown in the image below.
I’ve shared a video below so that you can see the Gtech AirRam in action for yourself. Overall, I am loving this vacuum. One of my favorite features is that it will actually go down flat, easily allowing you to vacuum under furniture and tables. My husband can attest to it’s suction power and even commented that he loves how it will fluff up our carpet after vacuuming, unlike the other one we have! It’s replaced our old vacuum for every day vacuuming. The only time I lug the corded one out is when we need to do around baseboards and things like that.
