I have been a huge fan of the show Gold Rush on the Discovery Channel since the first moment I saw it at a friend’s house about 2 years ago. I started watching at home after that and through the past couple of years, have watched Parker Schnabel grow into a leader.
Soon, my entire family became a fan and we would watch the show every week to see how they did in their search of gold. Getting set up was super easy. They give you and instruction manual in the kit and there’s also a video on the Pay Dirt Gold Company website, with a full tutorial from none other than Parker Schnabel himself! I’ve included the video below so that you can see just how easy it is to pan for gold, right inside your own home.
My family and I had a great time panning with the Gold Rush Panning Kit and we all took a part and did some of the work. The kids had a great time as did my husband, brother and I. This is a fun activity for all ages and a wonderful opportunity to do something fun together as a family.
We panned once and the photo above is our result, in real gold! In the video, they do suggest trying again just in case any gold gets out while you’re panning. I’m sure we lost a little, so we are going to try again.
