Oral health is very important. Believe it or not, it affects our overall health and how we feel about ourselves. That’s why there is a dedicated National Children’s Dental Health Month in February. It was designed to raise awareness about the importance of oral health so that children everywhere can be confident with healthy mouths.
Tom’s of Maine launched a free coloring and activity book called “Brushing Fun” last week on January 23rd. It supports the national nonprofit Oral Health of America which is dedicated to oral care and prevention. Tom’s of Maine will donate 10 tubes of its Wicked Cool! natural toothpaste with each download of the coloring book. The toothpaste, (up to 200,000 tubes) will be distributed to children in OHA’s Smiles Across America program. I downloaded the coloring book and my kids colored pages in support of this mission, which I thought was great! Even at 12 and 14, they still enjoy coloring, especially if it’s for a good cause.
Your family can join in the fun too. Just download the coloring book and share a photo on Instagram or Facebook using the #NaturalSmiles hashtag. You’ll have a chance to win a Tom’s of Maine natural oral care prize pack and a $100 Utrecht Art Store gift card to foster your child’s creativity. There will be a winner each week for five weeks!
My kids got really creative in coloring and tried their best to use the perfect colors. It was a great activity for them to do today since there was no school due to a crazy winter vortex we have going on in Wisconsin and below freezing temperatures.
I absolutely love companies that give back to the community in one way, shape or form and I was very impressed to learn that Toms of Maine donates 10% of its profits to human and environmental goodness organizations.
