Christmas is literally just around the corner. Can you believe it? I am so not prepared, nor am I even close to finished with my holiday shopping. I still need to get some more gifts for the kids and even for other people on my list. They’re not being very helpful with their ideas, so the only thing I know they all really want is XBox One.
Since XBox One is on their list, I picked up Forza Motorsport 5 over the weekend. They just love playing Forza 4, so I know they’ll love this new one even better! I heard about the Buy, Snap, Redeem promotion between Forza Motorsport 5 and M&Ms, so I grabbed a couple of bags while I was at Walmart. Once I got home, I snapped a photo of my receipt showing at least $8 in participating M&Ms purchases along with the Forza 5 video game and sent a text of the receipt photo and the word M&M to 811811. I received a confirmation that I would get my $10 eGift card to Walmart within 48 hours. So then I can use that towards more gifts!
I love to get creative with wrapping. I always have a color scheme and use ribbon on my packages instead of pre-made bows. I just think it looks so much prettier. This year my colors are blue and silver, so I picked my favorite foil wrapping paper and coordinating ribbon to wrap this gift.
I think it turned out lovely and had to go put it by the rest of the gifts under the tree right away.
The nice thing about video games is that they fit well in stockings too, so I tried that out. I paired my favorite pretzel M&Ms with the wrapped Forza Motorsport 5 game and it looked great! But since Santa doesn’t come fill stockings until Christmas Eve, I couldn’t just leave it like that!
Instead I hid the M&Ms away and places the Forza Motorsport 5 video game under the tree with all of our other gifts. How do you like my gift wrapping – cute eh?
I’d also like to remind you all to enter the M&Ms Pixel Art Instagram Contest. Just snap a photo of your great pixel art and upload it to Instagram using the hashtag #FueledbyMM. We got a little creative ourselves and came up with a Pepsi Logo, Candy Corn and Christmas Tree. What do you think?
