Halloween is just around the corner and that means there are tons of spooky celebrations going on all over town. In the spirit of such a fun holiday, TruMoo released special Halloween packaging and a fun new flavor to their line of flavored milk – Vanilla with a Halloween Orange color!
We had our own spooky celebration last weekend. I threw a joint Birthday/Halloween Party for Big Bro and I since he celebrated his golden 14th and I celebrated my 35th.. I thought it deserved a party. Not to mention, we haven’t thrown one for quite awhile, so it was time for some fun!
I went all out on decorating the front of the house in true spooky Halloween fashion. I even made a DIY Werewolf Scarecrow! I set up tables, the hubby got the fire going and I decorated the side yard with cob webs and streamers. Then it rained. All of the decor was ruined while we were frantically trying to carry the tables {already full of food} into the garage.
Luckily, I’m pretty great at improvising and the party turned out well with 30+ people between the garage and house. When there’s great food and good company, who cares about a little rain at a party with little decor! The kids loved all of the treats and the little jugs of TruMoo Chocolate Milk!
I had a special recipe to make for the kids during the party, but with all the chaos, rain and amount of people gathered everywhere, it was nearly impossible. So instead, I made it for my kids this week and if you can’t tell by the photo below – they loved it!

Ingredients
- 4 cups TruMoo Lowfat Chocolate Milk
- 10 chocolate wafer cookies, coarsely broken
- ? cup frozen non-dairy whipped topping, thawed
- 8 mini chocolate chips or mini chocolate candies (orange/brown flavor suggested)
Directions
In blender, combine TruMoo Lowfat Chocolate Milk and chocolate wafer cookies until smooth. Heat mixture in saucepan or microwave until just heated through.*
To serve, pour chocolate milk mixture into 4 glasses. For each serving, spoon a large, upright dollop of whipped topping to resemble a ghost. Insert chocolate chips or chocolate candies into the dollop for eyes.
