I’m sure that just like me, many of you anxiously awaited your children going back to school. While it’s great having them home for the summer, 3 whole months sure is a long time and the kids start running ragged after awhile. If you work at home like I do, the constant “I’m bored” statements might have gotten pretty old before August even hit.
Because we can never be totally happy and satisfied, the start of a new school season brought on other stresses – ones that can lead to a huge headache some days. My kids were not easy to wake up for that first week and Lil Man complained everyday, saying that he’s smart enough and doesn’t need school. He’ll get a job in construction where he doesn’t need to use his brain. Yes, that actually came out of his mouth – though I straightened him right up and told him no way! I mean c’mon, the kid is just 11!
As you can imagine, the headaches are almost constant around here – especially because I have six males to deal with. I swear, it’s all that testosterone! Between their schedules, the constant running around, homework and everything in between, I’m almost ready for next summer already!
If you’ve already got the back to school blues and headaches are a constant reminder of how busy our lives are, then you will definitely want to continue reading.
