I recently received 5 products from the Saffron Road line of Halal Certified Cuisine. I chose to sample the Wasabi Crunchy Chickpeas, which are one of their non-GMO products, Chicken Pad Thai with Rice Noodles, Chicken Tikka Masala with basmati rice, Moroccan Lamb Stew with couscous, and a Kemma with Chicken Chapatti wrap.
All of the gourmet frozen entrees that I sampled from Saffron Road were all natural, gluten free, and
certified Halal. The Wasabi Crunchy chickpeas are also all natural and made with organic chickpeas, gluten free, certified Halal and non-GMO. So, not only are Saffron Road’s products good for you and the world around you, but they are really tasty.
I really enjoyed Saffron Road’s gourmet frozen entrees. They were all delicious, but out of the 3 I sampled I enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala the most. The chicken was really moist and the sauce was just delectable. The Chicken Tikka Masala also came with basmati rice, which I love. I was impressed with how fresh and succulent Saffron Roads meals tasted right out of the microwave.
The Keema with Chicken Chapatti Wrap was also really great tasting. I know in the past when I have had microwavable burritos or wraps the wrap comes out kind of crunchy and stiff. This was not the case with Saffron Road’s Chapatti Wrap; it came out of the microwave perfect, not soggy and not too crunchy. I loved the flavor of the chicken, scallions, red peppers, and peas; just the right amount of spice. When I do buy microwavable wraps and I am usually a fan of another popular all natural brand, but next time I go to buy one I will be reaching for one made by Saffron Road.
Last, but certainly not least I got to sample Saffron Roads Wasabi flavored Crunchy Chickpeas. This tasty snack is made with organic chickpeas and is an excellent source of protein. I have always loved chickpeas, but this was the first time I tried chickpeas like these. The Saffron Road crunchy chickpeas are absolutely delicious. I loved the strong, intense heat from the Wasabi flavor, and they had just the right amount of crunch. Saffron Road also offers their Crunchy Chickpeas in two other flavors, Bombay Spice, and Falafel.
