Weddings are not just for brides. Although brides get to be highlighted on the big day, believe it or not grooms need some pampering too. Choosing a perfume, choosing when to get haircut and working some magic on how to get the groom incredibly handsome are just some of the things to bear in mind.
If you?re a groom-to-be and you?re thinking about some trouble-free ways to take care of yourself before your big day, these will help you look great on your wedding day.
1. Get a haircut.
At least a week before your wedding, go to your trusted barber for a haircut. Stick to a classic cut for your wedding instead of sporting a Mohawk or a shaved head (unless either of those is your trademark look). Experimenting on a new style is not advisable as this minute mistake will have you reflecting on it for a long time. Make sure to have a scheduled appointment with your barber as early as possible.
2. Drink Up.
No, it doesn?t mean soaking yourself in beer. It means having to take lots of water and healthy fruit juices to make your skin healthy (minus the beer belly). You don?t need a milk bath or a full body sea salt scrub ? just a simple healthy treat for yourself. It may seem odd and unnecessary but getting your skin free of impurities on your big day will help you feel good about yourself. After all, you?ll also be walking on the aisle so it’s better guests will have something positive to say about the handsome groom.
3. Lavish Yourself.
In just a few days, you have to say goodbye to bachelorhood. Buy yourself your last splurge before you get married. When you enter a union, your finances will also be divided in the home that you share with your wife. Get yourself that Android phone you?ve been eyeing forever or plan a hiking trip with your buddies. Watch an NBA game live either with your fianc? or your guy friends and purchase front row seats while you can. Don?t forget to grab a bottle of perfume you?ll be wearing on the big day. You can try Emporio He by Giorgio Armani for Men if you?re after a fresh and crisp scent you can wear all day long.
4. Tidy Up.
Comb your hair. Wash your face. Dye white hairs if you have to. These are just basics on tidying up. While you?re doing some basic grooming, plan on when to shave and make sure you don?t cut yourself. While some men don?t find the idea of a shaving cream important, using a shaving cream will make your face smooth and moisturized. Additionally, you can try some manicure-pedicure treatments. You don?t have to polish your nails with any bold colors, but the nail indulging process is actually a relaxing experience. After all, your hands will be photographed for a lot of times, particularly during the ceremony so it’s better to have your hands and nails captured clean.
It’s never too late to be the groom you imagined yourself to be. Don?t be cautious about giving yourself an extra pamper session because you need it. Just stick to the basics and add some extra effort in making yourself attractive (or at least presentable) on your big day.
