I love to shop – I’m sure you an relate! But what I love even more is a store that I can shop online and get everything that I want all in one place. There’s no need for separate orders and especially multiple shipping charges! That’s what’s great about Newegg.com. I can shop for sporting goods and computer software all in one place; or small appliances and office products – you get the picture.
I was really excited when they contacted me to test out a new KitchenAid KSM150PSAC Artisan Series Tilt-head Mixer with Pouring Shield. I swear, I did a little happy dance, right in my chair. I mean, who wouldn’t want a KitchenAid Mixer?!
I’ve loved to bake since I was a little girl. I started off with chocolate chip cookies and worked my way up. Now I bake six to twelve different variety of cookies every year around Christmas and load my family and friends up with tins. I’ll also throw in mini cupcakes, fudge and brownies from time to time too!
I’ve been trying to find the time to bake for a couple of weeks now and it just never happened – until last night. I was determined to check this baby out since it’s been eyeballing me from the kitchen counter for awhile now; just wanting to be played with. So while The Man was cooking dinner, I gathered my new KichenAid Mixer, a Devil’s Food Cake Mix, some Candied Cherries, Butterscotch Chips and Pecans.
Look, you can totally see the reflection of my hand and the attachments! |
The KitchenAid KSM150PSAC Artisan Series Tilt-head Mixer with Pouring Shield features 10 speeds, a tilt back mixer head, 5 qt stainless steel bowl and a pouring shield.
I threw my cake mix ingredients into the bowl and set the mixer on low for the first 30 seconds. I couldn’t believe how fast and simple it made things! Next, I had to put it on medium speed for 2 minutes. Let me just say that those two minutes went so fast. I usually sit there wishing that time would go by faster when I use my hand mixer! After the batter was all mixed, we added in the butterscotch chips, pecans and candied cherries through the pouring shield, super easy!
I am literally in awe of this mixer and I can’t believe that I hadn’t gotten one sooner. This thing seriously makes baking so much easier! I can’t wait to do some more baking in it!
My mixer came with a little recipe book, which I wan to try a few. You can also order all sorts of other attachments for it, including a food grinder, pasta roller and a large variety of others. I swear, my life in the kitchen will never be the same. Cooking and baking is going to be so much fun now!
