I’m sure many of you are familiar with Box Tops for Education. If you’re a parent or grand parent, then you might even clip and collect the rewards off of some of the food and household items that you purchase. You might even have friends and family that help collect Box Tops for your child’s school. But did you know that you can earn Box Tops for your school while shopping online? Well you can!
You can shop online at over 175 retailers through the Box Tops’ Marketplace and earn cash for every $10 spent! You’d be surprised at the selection of retailers, including popular ones like Walmart, Home Depot and Target among many others! I think it’s absolutely wonderful that so many retailers have partnered for such a great cause. Our schools can use all the extra money they can get. After all, it’s essentially investing in our future!
I was given the challenge to shop online through the Box Tops’ Marketplace and I have to say that my biggest challenge was deciding which store to shop at! With so many choices, it really was hard to decide. Below is just a small sampling of the stores you can shop online and earn Box Tops at.
I ended up going with Walmart because I decided that all of these boys needed a fresh new pair of swim shorts for the season. You can earn 0.5 cents per $10 spent online at Walmart; though many stores have much higher rewards.
I choose a pair of swim shorts for each of the 5 boys in my house. They had such great deals, that I even had some money left over to shop for myself! I usually like to try my clothes on to be sure they fit right, so it was a bit tougher to shop online for myself. I went with a pair of jean shorts as well as some cotton shorts and tanks. Working from home on my computer all day, I like to be comfortable and cotton clothing allows me that luxury.
When you are logged into your Box Tops’ Marketplace profile, you can see how much you have earned for your school to date and they even keep track of your favorite stores for you.
If you click on “See all earnings” you will come to the page below which shows how much your school has earned in total for the current school year. You can see that my son’s school fell a little short of their goal, but they still earned a pretty decent amount!
I was surprised at how quickly my items arrived. It was within 2 days! Each item arrived in its own clear plastic wrapping.
My boys were so excited to get new swim shorts. They put them on right away, even though we weren’t going swimming yet!
Next time you’re shopping online, you should consider first going to the Box Tops’ Marketplace and clicking on your store from there. That way your child’s school can earn money while you shop. It’s a win/win! If you don’t have children, then choose your local school, or even the school you went to!
