Summer brings with it vacations, family outings, reunions, getaways, beaches, pools, sporting events, long afternoons at the park and starlit nights. There is Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, anniversaries and summer birthdays; everything waiting to be captured and frozen in time. Recently I was given the opportunity to review an amazing little compact camera to capture the summer, the Vivtar XVN-1. It’s a full HD Touchscreen Digital Recorder that is light enough to slip into your pocket and go wherever the summer happens to take you.

The Vivitar XVN-1 comes in three different colors: black, blue and pink. I was given the pretty little blue camera! For a camera so compact it can fit in your palm, it comes packed with some amazing features.

It is very simple to use. You open the Touch Screen and it auto turns on, ready to shoot! The sound quality on the Vivitar is crisp and picks up voices extremely well.

Whether you are inside or outside, you won’t have to worry about the lighting effecting the motion capture on the camera. Plus, with the ability to “flip” the 3″ Touch Screen allows you the capability of shooting (or capturing still images) of yourself with your friends and family! You don’t have to be left out of the fun!

My teen had a lot of fun zooming in and taking stilled images. He really loves the ease of the camera and how he can carry it in his pocket. The thin, chic look makes it really stylish and attractive to teens who love taking photos and videos of themselves and their friends!
