We are wildly fanatical about healthier, whole grain snacking. Our mission is to make the best tasting better-for-you snacks on the planet. We have our own facility, filled with honest-to-goodness corn that is specifically grown for popping. We have special kettles that are filled, by hand, one scoop at a time, by real people, who are carefully producing, oh-so-lovingly, the greatest popcorn you?ve ever had. That sentence had a lot of commas, so you know we?re serious. We have popcorn chefs who do nothing but dream up fantastic flavor combinations. What a gig! We live and breathe whole grain snacking!

After watching a friend struggle to find healthy food options for her baby (that didn?t involve hours of slaving away in the kitchen), Shazi came up with the idea for Happy Family. What began as Happy Baby ? a minimally processed frozen, organic alternative to baby food in a jar ? has since grown into a comprehensive line of products for the whole family. Today, Happy Family provides organic foods for babies, toddlers, kids, and even adults! It’s delicious, convenient and made with a mother’s touch for all ages, all stages. What could be happier than that?

When it comes to snacking and treats, I don’t always have the time or energy to make something from scratch for my kid. Sometimes, it’s just easier to grab something and go, but this doesn’t always make for the healthiest foods. I try to keep our pantry stocked with all-natural, no sugar added, and super healthy treats. If you ask my son, this a form of torture and often results in a half eaten item and him crying in public, “I’m starving momma!” After doing some research I’ve found that there are some great brands out there, offering pre-made treats and snacks that not only are good for growing bodies, but taste good too!

Now that Easter has filled our house with one too many sweets, I have to carefully tread. Any sudden movements to pick up candy results in a sugar induced tantrum. To ease the transaction, I’ve decided to replace part of his candy stash with a sweet treat from Popcorn, Indiana.

Cinnamon Sugar

Our favorite two flavors of Popcorn, Indiana is the Cinnamon Sugar and Chocolate Chip. Look at all that goodness covered in sweetness above! Popcorn makes a great snack thanks to it being naturally low in calories and a great source of whole grains! My favorite part is the flavors added to the line of Drizzlecorn? flavors. Cinnamon Sugar is covered in cinnamon, brown sugar, and a nice layer of white chocolate. Cinnamon is chocked full of health benefits: helps regulate blood sugar, helps with cognitive functioning and memory, it’s a natural food preservative, and is high in calcium, iron, fiber, and manganese.

Chocolate Chip

The Chocolate Chip flavor is layered in Dark Fudge and tiny chocolate chips! It’s rich, decadent, and dark chocolate has an array of health benefits as well! It’s great for your heart and brain and it’s full of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals! I feel like a winner all around when I let my kid have a small handful of Popcorn, Indiana over any candy in their Easter Basket!

When I just can’t face giving Sonshine anymore chocolate or sugar, I’m happy to replace his treat with anything from the Happy Family line! They make more than just organic food for toddlers, my three and a half year old loves the Fruit and Veggie Twist and Treat pouches.

Sonshine’s favorite flavors are the Blueberry-Apple-Purple Carrot which is made with organic fruit, chia seeds, Omega-3’s, antioxidants, Vitamin C, fiber, calcium, and iron. No guilt from this mom when I twist off the cap and just hand a pouch over! He also quenched his sweet tooth with the Caramel Apple flavor. With no fat and only 100 calories, it’s the best no-guilt Treat I’ve ever given him.
