I am a board game fanatic. I enjoyed them as a child and I still do. Of course I still love playing the classic board games but I also love to change it up to keep things exciting and fresh. I have been playing the BEJEWELED app on my smart phone for a while and I will admit that I play it a lot. Five minutes waiting for an appointment I play….a few minutes between cleaning and the kids are asleep I play. It is just a fun time killer when I need a few minutes to veg out. I was in intrigued when a board game version came out…I mean how can you make it into a board game when it just seems so app like? I will admit I was pleasantly surprised.

Husband and I played it after the girls were asleep. Since we have both played the app it was easy to figure out. I will admit it is a slower game because when it is your turn you are using strategy to get the most coins possible with each move. I am fine with a slower pace game but husband prefers a game with a faster pace. I found the game quite fun and I enjoyed sliding the jewels around when it was my turn. We had fun playing together and you can’t beat that.

Overall I feel like it is another hit from Hasbro and the perfect game for Family Game Night!
