Waxelene? is revolutionizing skin care. It creates the same waterproof barrier that doctors recommend petroleum jelly for but contains no petroleum or hydrogenated oil. Instead we use our patent pending aeration process that won?t clog pores and makes Waxelene? highly effective for any kind of dry skin. Not only that, it can be used for hundreds of other things just like petroleum jelly.
The winter always brings with it the expectation of irritated and dry skin. Even though we have four humidifiers in our home, I still feel as if I am becoming a raisin. My tot has also inherited my severely dry skin, so we both have a need for moisture. Generally the products that might be not-so-bad for me are not-so-okay for him though; like most of us Moms, we always protect our children from harmful additives without thinking so much of ourselves.
I’ve been working to change my mind on that concept through the last few years. As I get older I realize how equally important it is to keep my skin healthy just as much as my inner body. Now when I look for products for my son’s skin, I also look for the same natural and wholesome products for myself. One of the products we have gotten to try recently is Waxelene, a petroleum jelly alternative that is safe for babies (which means it is safe for Mommy & Daddy too).
We always moisturize at night before bed. After bathtime I lather my son so that his skin won’t dry out and cause him to itch all night and I do the same for myself. One incredible thing is that Waxelene can be used for many different things!
- Soothing & Moisturizing Dry Skin
- Make-up & Removing Make-up
- Hands & Feet
- Babies
- Sports
- Hair
- After Sun
- Shaving & Aftershave
You can find many of the uses of Waxelene and How To use it by visiting their Uses Page. One of the things that I did not find listed, but that I use for my son, is his thumb. My tot is a serious thumbsucker and if you have ever had a thumbsucker then you know that their thumbs tend to dry out and crack. Sometimes they crack so bad that they bleed so it is very, very important to keep them moistened! Most products you can not use for this at all because of the ingredients and those that you can are generally made from animal parts that you don’t want to think about. Waxelene is made from Organic Soybean Oil, 100% Natural Beeswax, Organic Rosemary Oil and 100% Natural Vitamin E Oil – all of which are good for you. And as a Mom of a thumbsucker, they’re all ingredients I don’t have to call poison control over if he happens to stick his thumb in his mouth.

My tot also is an obsessive clapper which makes his hands more calloused and chapped. Toddlers tend to rub their eyes and stick their hands on their faces a lot, so it is nice that I can keep his hands moistened and soft while still keeping him safe.
I love this product. We’ve have been using it for a little over two weeks and I have certainly noticed a different in my skin. I love applying it before any make-up because it makes my skin look fresh and the cuticles on my nails have never seen better days!
You can find Waxelene at CVS, Whole Foods, Bed Bath & Beyond, Natural Grocers and Pharmaca! You can check to see what shopping center has Waxelene by visiting their Find a Location page. However, you can also purchase from the page itself.
