Ever since the new year began and I started a resolution to eat better and work out more I have been pretty good at keeping up with it. I hit the gym a minimum of 3 days a week but most the times it is more. I am new to the whole gym and crunchy granola thing. I have not thought much about proper health bars and snacking because the few I have ever tried just tasted awful…like licking a hippy…at least that is what I imagined a hippy would taste like.
I was sent some of PROBAR’S latest products to try out. They arrived and were the perfect snack to toss into my gym bag.

First up is the PROBAR meal bar. Here is their description:

When I first took it out of the package it did look a little bit like a cow patty…not sure what that is then it might be best not to know. I am normally leaving the gym at lunch time so on my ride home I just eat one of these meal replacement bars. They are surprisingly tasty, in fact Big Sis saw me nibbling on it and she wanted some and she really liked it…that really surprised me as this girl can be picky. Soft and chewy, just the way I like them. I will honestly say it did keep me full until dinner time and I am your normal everyday mom that loves to eat.
Next up is the PROBAR Bolt. Here is their description:

I normally do not eat energy chews unless I am on a long run of half marathon proportions so for me these are not for every day. During one of my longer runs I took these with me and they did get me the jolt I needed to get through my run. I much prefer these over the energy pouches of goo that a lot of runners seem to like. These were tasty!
