Here in Florida my family goes through numerous bottles of sunblock all year long. Just because it is chilly out does not mean you cannot get a sunburn. All you have to do is ask one of the many tourists here in Orlando that are walking around with painful looking sunburns. More times than not they probably had no idea about how easy it is to get a sunburn even when the sun is only peaking behind the clouds.
Big Sis is in swim class twice a week, as well as soccer practice once a week and soccer games once a week while Lil Sis is in daily swim lessons and we use Coppertone every single time. There is a reason I have used it every year for years…this stuff really works!
They have a line of travel size lotions and at 3 oz. that makes these perfect to throw in a swim bag, diaper bag, beach bag or to just leave one in your car since sometimes you just don’t think about sunblock till you get where you are going.
Travel Size offerings are now available in:
- Coppertone Sport (SPF 30, 50)
- Water BABIES (SPF 50)
- Coppertone KIDS (SPF 50)
- Tanning lines (SPF 15)
They are water resistant for around 80 minutes but I find it is best to reapply every hour or whenever you get out to take a swimming break (whichever comes first). These provide broad spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays.
Since they are in 3 oz. containers that means these comply with TSA travel regulations. Spring Break trips are coming so do not forget your Coppertone sunblock!
The Coppertone Sport Lip Balm (SPF 30) did a great job of keeping my lips smooth and not chapped as well as protecting my thin and non-luscious lips from the sun.
Sure my kids don’t want to spend all that time putting on sunscreen but since it is such a part of our routine they both will let me cover them without any whining. Protecting the family’s skin while playing outside is such an important yet often forgotten step.
