If you wanted to teach your child about dinosaurs, there are ten different ways in which to do so. The trick being, figuring out the best way in which your child learns. Auditory learners are great listeners, so maybe just telling them about dinosaurs will make the information stick. A kinesthetic learner learns best by moving legs, fingers and arms, so acting out how a T-Rex runs might be best. Visual learners will want to see fossils and look at pictures of all the different kinds of dinosaurs. And those with a learning disability — like dyslexia ? will need another layer of support to learn best. Moms and dads looking for a little support for their child outside of school have a super duper option online. It’s a castle (literally) full of wonderful learning tools, designed and written by large staff of certified learning experts, disguised as fun and games from Super Duper? Publications.
I was sent both Yogarilla and the Practicing Pragmatics fun deck. Big Sis is almost 4.5 years old and has Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). I am always on the lookout for games that work well for her and her sensory seeking ways.
Almost 2 months ago I took up exercising for a healthier and more fit me. I am now part runner/jogger and I also took up yoga 3 days a week for an hour at a time. I love everything about yoga but right now for me I most love the way it works on my stretching and muscle work. Big Sis is constantly saying she wants to do yoga. When I found out about Yogarilla I realized that it might be the perfect game for her.

Yogarilla introduces the pose such as Peaceful Gorilla in an age-appropriate way: we are going to sit tall and be very quiet. Practicing Pragmatics

information, asking questions, telephone manners, and staying on topic.

plus game idea and content cards. 21/2” x 31/2“.
Bis Sis is super outgoing and will talk to anyone about anything. That is why I picked out Practicing Pragmatics to review as it is something I could use with her to help with special situations. I don’t want her giving out too much information to strangers as that is awkward and not safe.
This card is an especially good one for Big Sis. She tends to blurt out her thoughts right away. It is nice to have a card to have a little discussion on what nice things you can say and what things you should not say. Last year the Easter Bunny got ripped apart on all the nice things he brought to Big Sis so this card will hopefully teach her to be a little more polite when she receives gifts in the future. After reading the card to her she instantly understood that you should say something nice but she was not exactly sure what do say. This brought on some great dialogue between her and I.
Overall I am very impressed with the 2 games I received and I have no doubt that Super Duper Publications offers many more great games geared towards the type of learner your child is. You can get lost browsing all the items they have on their website.
